Running PreViser in Training/Demonstration Mode

You may run the application in Training/Demonstration mode at any time, either for evaluation of the PreViser™ program or for training purposes. This provides you with the environment to explore the functionality of the application, although you cannot produce new Treatment Option Plans for actual patients. In other words, you may enter data as if you were creating a Risk Assessment, but the report you produce will be pre-formed and fictitious, and you'll see the same sample reports each time. However, there is no charge to download or use the application in Demo mode.

The output is fictitious in terms of the displayed demo report contents, and runs separately from your normal, fully-functional mode of the PreViser™ application, so you won’t have to worry about “breaking” anything or adding unwanted reports to your actual patients' records. You may create or edit Patient records, and go through the motions of entering data for a risk assessment, but you do not create new risk assessments.

If you wish to do “real” risk assessments on real patients, you need to have a user account with PreViser (with Username and Password). You will receive an initial one month’s free usage, and then, if you wish to continue, you will need to sign up to a monthly payment plan

The demo mode includes a set of pre-compiled Treatment Option Plans, with one specific to each of the possible algorithms or variations of Risk Assessments (Perio, Oral Cancer, and Caries for various ages).

When you click Finish at the end of a Risk Assessment wizard while you are in Demo mode, you will see a message notifying you that the report you are about to generate is for demonstration purposes only and contains fictitious data (note that no fees are charged while running in this mode).

Risk Assessments you perform in Demo mode are not counted in the running summary "Total # of Risk Assessments" which displays on the Home page.

To select or deselect the Training/Demonstration mode:

1. To activate Demo mode, click the Options button (at the top of each screen) to display your Options page.

2. In the bottom left hand corner of the screen, click the box marked "Training/Demonstration Mode" so it is selected (checked). Click the Save button.

3. The application is now running in Demo mode. It will remain in Demo mode (even if you close and re-open the application) until you change that setting.

4. To change the application and deactivate Demo mode, open the Options page and uncheck the Training/Demo mode box. Click the Save button. The application is now in normal, fully functioning mode.

A note on Demo_Joe:

The application also comes with established records for a patient named "Demo_Joe Demo_Thompson." In his Risk Assessment history summary list, you can see a variety of possible age-relevant reports.

Demo_Joe is set up in the application like a regular patient, and his record appears whether or not you are running in Demo mode. His record provides an example for you of a patient with an established record in your PreViser™ database.

Risk Assessments you perform on DemoJoe when you are not using the application in "Demo Mode" do appear in his Risk Assessment summary list on his Patient Details page, and are counted in the total # of Risk Assessments which display on the Home page. You can do as many risk assessments on Demo_Joe as you like, free of charge.
