Risk Assessment: Functional Validity Check
For all types of Risk Assessments, including Perio, Caries, and Oral Cancer, when you click the Finish button on the final screen of any specific Risk Assessment wizard, the system performs a quick functional validity check of the data to ensure the following is true:
If any of the fields have invalid or missing entries, the system prompts you to fix the invalid data. You will see an error message pop up informing you of the missing data. You will then be transferred to the first page with an error, with the erroneous fields now highlighted in green. You should complete any of these blank required fields, then click Finish again to complete the assessment. Note that the system simply checks for the correct functional logic - it's up to you to monitor your data entry accuracy. For example, for the number of prophylaxis treatments performed since the last Risk Assessment a year ago, if you mis-type "22" instead of "2," the system will not stop to comment on your excessive tooth cleaning habits. If, after you finish the Risk Assessment, you notice an error, you have a limited time to Correct a Report. If the Risk
Assessment appears complete and correct to the system, it loads the Transmitting
Screen, which we'll look at next. |
