Risk Assessment Wizard Navigation

Each type of Risk Assessment (Perio, Caries, and Oral Cancer) has a specific series of pages (or a "wizard") for entering the data required to calculate a patient’s risk for future disease. Specific documentation for each type of Risk Assessment is detailed in the topics following this page.

The Patient Name appears at the top of every screen. You can determine the type of Risk Assessment (Perio or Caries or Oral Cancer) by looking at which icon which appears at the left top of each page of the wizard next to the patient's name, either P or C or O respectively, as shown below.

You will see in the heading of Perio Risk Assessment screens:

You will see in the heading of Caries Risk Assessment screens.

You will see in the heading of Oral Cancer Risk Assessment screens.

Optional actions from each screen:

As you progress through the pages in a Risk Assessment wizard, you will also notice three blue text links in the top right corner in the heading of every page, as explained below.

Save for Later | Delete | Print Form

These are three optional actions you can take from any page while the Risk Assessment is unfinished:

1. Save for Later: This command saves the values you have entered so far in this Risk Assessment, and returns you to the Home screen. The Risk Assessment is now saved as Unfinished, allowing you to return to it later for completion. You can access the unfinished assessment later from the Unfinished list on the Home page, or from that patient's Patient Details page.

2. Delete: This command deletes the entire Risk Assessment and returns you to the Home screen, but leaves the rest of the patient’s records intact. Note that once a Risk Assessment is completed and sent to PreViser for calculation, you cannot delete it, and it is stored in the patient’s PreViser record as a Treatment Option Plan.

3. Print Form: This command prints a Risk Assessment Input Form, pre-completed with any values already entered and saved from this Risk Assessment, allowing you to continue to gather and record data away from the computer.

To navigate from screen to screen:

You will most likely use the green “Previous” and “Next” buttons located at the bottom of each screen to navigate through the data entry sequence from screen to screen:

As with standard Internet Explorer browser behaviour, you can also click the Enter or Backspace keys to progress forward or back in the same way as clicking the Next or Previous buttons respectively.
