Perform a new Oral Cancer Risk Assessment

To begin a new Oral Cancer Risk Assessment, start with the following steps:

1. Find the patient's record and open the Patient Details screen.
2. Click the New Oral Cancer Risk Assessment button in the upper right corner.

This launches the Risk Assessment Wizard, a series of screens where you will enter all the data necessary to calculate the patient's risk score.

On each of the screens, you have options in addition to entering information. (For details about these actions, please see the Risk Assessment Secondary Navigation documentation). By clicking on the text links in the upper right corner of the screen, you can choose to:
  • Save for Later
  • Delete
  • Print Form

The Oral Cancer Risk Assessment Wizard takes you through the following sequence of screens for data entry:

1. Patient History
2. Tobacco Use
3. Examination Information
4. Report Settings

We will proceed through each of these screens here in the tutorial, on the following pages. When you have completed the data entry, you will transmit it to PreViser for a Risk Calculation, resulting in a Treatment Option Plan. You can then choose to view or print a report.
